TV Sizes and Dimensions

A TV’s size is the diagonal of its screen, and its width and height follow from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. These pages give the screen width and height for each common size, compare sizes side by side, convert between diagonal, width and height, and show how to measure a TV or the space you have for one. The figures are for the screen only: a real set also has a bezel and a stand, and those differ by make and model, so check the maker’s spec sheet before you buy a stand or cut a cabinet opening.
